We are a well established Service of Aberdeen City Council, formally known as the Outdoor Education Service.  We provide a wide range of adventurous outdoor activities to a broad and diverse client group, each with its own aims and objectives.

Outdoor Education

Outdoor Education creates unique opportunities to inspire and develop individuals and teams through experiencing adventure in challenging environments.  It is a process that attracts, enthuses and enriches learning.  This can be as part of a wider educational programme.

The structure of our activity sessions include evaluations and target setting and is based upon 4 key messages:

  • Responsibility
  • Respect
  • Teamwork
  • Challenge

The benefits of outdoor education are well proven and its place within the curriculum for excellence will become widely recognised.

Corporate & Adventure Activities

Corporate

Give your team a unique experience in one of Aberdeen’s outstanding natural environments.  Our activities will inspire, develop and motivate your team whilst having fun.

There are a number of community sponsorship options available.  Please call 01224 346191 for more information.  Your involvement will enable our service to continue and enhance its valuable work with communities in Aberdeen.

Training

If you want to learn and develop skills or lead others in any of our activities, we provide a comprehensive range of training and accreditation courses for members of the public, teachers and community staff.

What's included?

We can provide the full package including: consultation and information, transport, equipment, professional instruction, catering, a full range of accommodation options, photographic and film keepsakes and certification.

Residential Centre

Cromdale Outdoor CentreWe have a residential base available for group bookings located in the in the Cairngorm National Park (nr Grantown on Spey) it is ideally located to reach a range of spectacular water and land based activities.

It can be used as an activity base on one of our programmes or hired privately.  The Centre sleeps 36 and compromises of 7 bedrooms, dining kitchen, lounge and drying room.
