Remit of the Sub-Committees

Stewardship

Dealing with reports from internal and external audit (including approval of audit plan), overseeing the adequacy of the Force's/Board's financial systems, policies and practices and their compliance with the relevant statutes, standards and guidance, best value issues, risk management, and overseeing the implementation of recommendations from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary for Scotland and the Accounts Commission 

Complaints

Dealing with the oversight of how complaints are handled by the Force and consideration of complaints against Chief Officers.

Personnel

All personnel/staffing matters such as Chief Officer appointments, and all manner of appeals which fall to be determined by the Board.

Urgent Business

Genuinely urgent business which requires to be progressed between Board meetings and which cannot wait until the next scheduled meeting of the Board.

ICVS

Consideration of matters arising from Independent Custody Visiting reports and appointment of Independent Custody Visitors.
