Reflections - a creative arts project
Get creative and explore what history means to you
To help celebrate 125 years of the Central Library on Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen City Libraries invite you to submit an original piece of creative work showing what history means to you. This work can be anything creative at all - from a poem or short story to painting, photography, music, even sculpture.
You might choose to celebrate an event from the past (like the Dons cup-winning glory), or take a trip down memory lane and think back to school or holidays as a child.
About the project
To coincide with the Local History Conference in March 2017, Aberdeen City Libraries are encouraging everyone to think about history. The project aims to stimulate creative talent while exploring the concept of what history means to us as individuals. Everyone has a story to tell, and each story is unique. Help us bring these stories together as part of our celebrations to mark 125 years of Aberdeen Central Library in 2017.
The accepted formats - this can include poems, short stories, photographs, films, sculpture, paintings and artworks. Please see the terms and conditions for more details about each category.
