Wifi Access at Aberdeen City Libraries
FREE Wireless Internet Access availability in Aberdeen
Library users can now use their laptops, phones and mobile devices to gain free, fast broadband connections to the internet in all Aberdeen libraries as well at certain Community Centres, museums, Seventeen, Adventure Aberdeen Aberdeen Sports Village, Aberdeen University and RGU campuses and Marischal College.
Wifi connections are becoming increasingly popular in many different places such as cafes, airports and hotels for example. Often there is a charge for this service but Library users can make the most of our wireless service completely free of charge.
The sites all have 'wireless hotspots' installed, allowing users with Wi-Fi enabled devices to simply walk in and get a fast and FREE connection to the internet.
You'll need to register to access this free service. Simply go to the wifi settings on your device and scan for the Aberdeen-city-connect network. Complete the registration process using Facebook, Twitter or Google Accounts. If you don't use any of these there is a simple form to complete. Once registered your device will pick up the network when you visit any of the locations where available within the city.
Are you a student in the city? You should be able to pick up your University Wifi within all of the locations listed above and login as you would normally do.
Any issues with access to this 24/7 service should be directed to location staff if available or:
