Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2017 - Voting Closed!

The Bookbug Picture Book Prize replaces the 3-7 age category of the Awards. There are three titles in the shortlist and these are the books in the Bookbug Primary 1 Family bag gifted at school to all children in Primary 1 during October and November .

 The deadline for voting was  December 09 2016.

All the votes across Scotland have been counted and yet again Aberdeen predicted the winner .....

The prize for the best voting box created by library staff was awarded to Airyhall and Kincorth libraries with honourable mentions to Culter and Cove libraries  ... it was very difficult choosing a winner !

What will they come up with next year ?!! 

The Scottish Teenage Book Prize  replaces the 12-16 age category of the Scottish Children's Book Awards.

 

The three shortlisted titles for the 2017 Scottish Teenage Book Prize were;

  • The Last Soldier by Keith Gray
  • Silver Skin by Joan Lennon
  • Black Cairn Point by Claire McFall

Copies of the books are available in all Aberdeen City Libraries  - reservations are free so order your copies now! 

The winning title was announced on 01 March 2017 as Claire McFall's Black Cairn Point.
