LB has had a busy calendar over the past few months attending the Corporate Governance Conference and the three Scottish Children's Book Awards' events in November. This was followed in the New Year with an appearance at the Aberdeen Learning Festival and then he and Guthrie Goose from Aberdeen Art Gallery took a tour round the libraries to choose their favourite Scottish Children's Books Awards' voting boxes. He's met lots of new friends along the way!

LB was thrilled to meet Angela Scott, Chief Executive of Aberdeen City Council when she paid a visit to the Aberdeen City Libraries stall at Aberdeen Learning Festival in February. On hand to help with the introduction was Fiona Clark, Libraries and Information Service Manager

In addition to meeting all the shortlisted authors at the Scottish Children's Book Awards events, LB was excited to meet up with an almost namesake The Lord Provost of Aberdeen, George Adam.

After the Aberdeen Learning Festival, LB teamed up with Guthrie Goose from Aberdeen Art Gallery to go on a tour of Aberdeen City libraries and choose the winning voting box for the Scottish Children's Book Awards. This proved to be a formidable challenge requiring numerous cups of tea before they finally decided to award two prizes. Bucksburn and Cove Libraries are this year's lucky winners.
