Ancestry is one of the most popular family history websites, offering access to billions of names and thousands of searchable databases.  The collections cover mainly the United States but also other countries, including Scotland. The resource include historical records, stories, publications, photographs, maps, family trees, messages boards, charts and forms. Search hints and tips are also available to help you use the website.

Both of the above resources are available in Aberdeen Central Library and all Community Libraries. Unfortunately, they are not available remotely.
