Tartan Day traffic restrictions

A series of traffic restrictions will be in place in the city centre on Saturday [31 July] during Aberdeen's Tartan Day events.
The restrictions are as follows:
from 8am until 2pm the Rosemount Viaduct to Union Terrace slip road will be closed;
from 10am until 11.15am Albyn Place will be closed between its junctions with Albyn Grove and Holburn Street/Union Street;
from 10.50am until noon Union Street and Castle Street will be closed. Back Wynd will be closed except for access, and King Street will be shut between its junctions with Castle Street and East North Street and West North Street;
from noon until and 1.30pm Union Terrace will be closed and Rosemount Viaduct will be shut between the Skene Street and Blackfriars Street junctions. There will be no waiting on these stretches of road for vehicles which are not associated with the Tartan Day event between 6am and 2pm;
the right turn bans from King Street into West North Street and from Holburn Street into Willowbank Road will be revoked from 10.45am until noon;
the right turn ban from Skene Street into Rosemount Viaduct will be revoked for buses only from noon until 2pm.
The restrictions are being put in place to ensure public safety during the Tartan Day parade and other planned events.
