Public meetings to be held on councilís proposals to rezone school catchment areas

10/01/14

A period of statutory consultation for Aberdeen City Council's proposals to rezone the catchment areas of two schools will begin on Monday 13 January.

As part of the consultation process two public meetings will be held to discuss the council's proposals to rezone part of the catchment areas of Stoneywood School and Braehead School.

Aberdeen City Council's convener of Education, Culture and Sport Committee Councillor Jenny Laing said: "I would encourage everyone with an interest in these proposals to take part in these consultations. The views of parents, pupils, staff and indeed the wider community are essential to the process."

The first public consultation meeting will discuss the proposal to rezone the former BP Headquarters part of the Stoneywood School Delineated [Catchment] Area to Dyce School and consequently from Bucksburn Academy to Dyce Academy.

The meeting will be held from 7pm to 8.30pm on Monday 27 January at Dyce Academy, Riverview Drive, Dyce, Aberdeen.
