Quarryhill School HMIE report

Following a visit from HM Inspectors of Education a report has been published on Quarryhill School.
During the visit in May inspectors highlighted a number of strengths including the good interaction between staff and pupils and the supportive environment for children with additional needs.
They also noted the youngsters' achievements in health and wellbeing and involvement in raising awareness of environmental issues.
Corporate director for culture and learning John Tomlinson said: "I welcome this report which reflects the high quality of learning pupils receive.
"It also noted that staff provide a broad range of experience for children and take positive steps to identify and support pupils who need additional assistance in class.
"The pupils have a good standard of educational opportunity and staff, pupils and parents will continue to work together to build on this good work."
