Residentsí views sought as part of review process
Aberdeen City Council is keen for local residents to voice their opinions on existing library and community learning services and to feedback their views as part of the council's ongoing review.
Residents are invited to attend a free drop-in consultation event from 10am to 1pm on Saturday 09 March in the Town & County Hall, Town House, Union Street, Aberdeen.
Council officers will be in attendance so residents can find out more about the review process, ask questions and submit their views.
Information leaflets on the review are available from learning centres and libraries across the city. A copy of the leaflet can be viewed online at Library and Community Learning Review.
Residents can submit their views on the review by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org or in a letter to:
Library and Community Learning Review, 2nd Floor North, Business Hub 13, Marischal College, Broad Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1AB.
Views should be submitted by 5pm on Thursday 28 March 2013.
Aberdeen City Council's Convener of Education, Culture and Sport Councillor Jenny Laing said: "Council officers will be available at the drop-in session to provide information about the review being carried out and to answer any questions residents may have. We hope this session will give residents a further opportunity to engage with the council and provide informed and constructive feedback.
"I would encourage residents to come along to the event and to make their views known so these can be considered as part of the decision process."
All feedback that is received will be considered as part of the review process. A report on the review will go to an autumn meeting of the Education, Culture and Sport Committee. Please note that no personal data will be included in the report.
