Unique opportunity to meet celebrated silversmith

Renowned silversmith Malcolm Appleby will share his knowledge and expertise at two events on Saturday 10 November at Aberdeen Art Gallery, Schoolhill.
These sessions accompany the gallery's major autumn exhibition Silver The Aberdeen Story, which brings together over 200 pieces from both public and private collections from the UK and abroad, to tell the story of silver produced in Aberdeen, from the earliest known existing works to the present day.
A day with Malcolm Appleby
10.30am 12noon
Malcolm will be in the studio workshop to demonstrate the techniques he uses to create his beautiful work.
Admission is free, drop-in session so people are welcome to pop along anytime.
1.30pm 3pm
Malcolm will discuss his work and invite members of the public to get involved by bringing along any pieces of his work that they own.
