Learn about renowned local artist at lunchtime talk


Renowned Aberdeen-born artist Sir George Reid will be the subject of a free lunchtime talk at 12.30pm at Provost Skene's House tomorrow [Wednesday 13 February].

Jennifer Melville, lead curator (art) will give the 30 minute talk on Sir George Reid [1841-1913] from his early interest in drawing which led to his seven-year apprenticeship at Messrs Keith & Gibb lithographers in Aberdeen in 1854 through to him being elected President of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1891.
