Waste and recycling
Waste and recycling collections scheduled for Christmas Day and New Year's Day will be picked up on Sat 28 Dec and Sat 04 Jan respectively. Other waste and recycling pick-ups will continue as scheduled but collection times may vary so residents are asked to leave bins or boxes on the kerbside by 7am.

The four household waste and recycling centres will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. On street recycling bins will be available throughout the festive season, including the recently-introduced food waste recycling service.

Food waste such as turkey bones and vegetable peelings can be discarded in the brown wheeled bin for residents with kerbside collections and in the on-street communal bins for residents of flats and multi-storey blocks.

For full details of waste and recycling collections visit
and search for Household Waste Collections in the A-Z of services.
