iPads up for grabs in European essay competition
The deadline has been extended for a European-themed essay competition for school pupils.
Aberdeen's Europe Direct Information Centre is running the competition for S3 and S4 pupils, with an iPad up for grabs for each winner and their school.
Pupils are being asked to explain in 500 words what being a young European citizen means to them and the new closing date is Wednesday 23 October.
The essays will be judged by a panel of independent judges and the winners announced in December at a special presentation at a civic reception at the Beach Ballroom. More information can be found at http://tinyurl.com/ED-Aberdeen and there is help and inspiration to be found on the competition blog at http://wp.me/3TMhz.
