Workshops on accessibility at Duthie Park planned
18/02/13
Workshops aimed at improving accessibility at Duthie Park have been arranged.
As the restoration of the popular attraction draws to a close, the council and the Friends of Duthie Park group are keen to ensure that the park is as accessible as possible for all members of the community.
Representatives of disability or health groups or individuals with physical or mental health problems are invited to attend the workshops on Wednesday 06 March.
The first will take place from 9.30am to 11.30am and the second at 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Both will involve a tour of the park and a focus group where tea and coffee will be served.
The meeting place for both is the entrance to the Winter Gardens.
Anyone wishing to attend is asked to e-mail Duthie Park outreach and training officer Arthur Gill on argill@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
Guests with any wheelchair requirements or similar are asked to inform park staff ahead of the workshops.
