Business Boosters take on UK Export Finance
The second in a series of Business Boosters events aimed at helping Aberdeen firms realise their full potential takes place next week.
UK Government support to exporters will be the focus of this event, which takes place in Marischal College on Tuesday 22 October.
UK Export Finance (UKEF) is the UK's Export Credit Agency. Jon Boyce, Export Finance Adviser Scotland, will deliver a trade finance presentation on UK Government support to exporters.
UKEF complements the private market by providing government assistance to UK exporters, in the form of export insurance policies and bank guarantees on working capital and performance bonds. Jon will highlight government support, with reference to mini case examples and the application process.
The Business Boosters series has been introduced to the business growth programme following the success of the Positive Procurement Programme (PPP) evening seminars and networking events.
The Business Booster seminars cover a diverse range of topics, including the effective use of PR, branding, business finance, staff development and effective recruitment.
Each fully-funded seminar and networking event will delivered by local experts and will take place in Marischal College on week nights or lunchtimes.
The UK Export Finance seminar, which will include a question and answer session and networking opportunities, will run from 6.30pm to 8pm.
