Virginia Street southbound carriageway to close for resurfacing
Virginia Street and Trinity Quay will be closed to southbound traffic between Commerce Street and Market Street overnight on Thursday and Friday [05 and 06 June] while resurfacing work is carried out.
The southbound carriageways will be closed from 8pm on Thursday and from 7pm on Friday, re-opening at 6am on each of the following mornings. They will then be closed from 7pm on Saturday until 6am on Monday. It is anticipated that the road will re-open by noon on Sunday if no difficulties are encountered during the works.
The one-way restrictions on Regent Quay, between Marischal Street and Trinity Quay, and on Shore Lane, will be suspended during the closures.
An alternative route for southbound vehicles will be available via Commerce Street, East North Street, King Street, Castle Street, Union Street and Market Street.
Drivers of heavy goods vehicles are advised to travel via the Parkway and Anderson Drive.
