School extension plans recommended for approval

A proposal to extend an Aberdeen primary school will be considered by councillors next week.
Aberdeen City Council is seeking permission to extend Riverbank School in Tillydrone to create four new classrooms, a gym hall and a new waiting room for the nursery.
The gym hall would be linked to the existing school building by a short corridor, which would form the new public entrance to the school. The classrooms, with toilet facilities, would be built behind the gym hall and link to the rear of the existing building, forming a courtyard.
Members of the Development Management Sub-committee will consider the application, which is recommended for approval, when they meet in the Town House next Thursday [21 March].
