Councillors agree parking charges for 2013/14

Councillors have agreed increases to parking charges in Aberdeen for the next financial year.
Members of the Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure Committee agreed:
•Parking fees in short stay car parks are to increase by 10% to £2.20 for up to two hours; £3.30 for two to three hours; and £4.40 for three to four hours;
•The price of monthly off-street permits for multi-storey car parks will be increased to £210;
•The costs of residents permits will be capped at the 2009 level;
•That the Jack's Brae car park be re-designated to provide a maximum two hour stay.
Members also agreed to instruct the director of Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure to carry out a complete appraisal of parking charges in the city and report back to the committee.
