Harry Potter stars to fly in for free family fun day at Duthie Park

Hedwig and Eral, the owls which appeared in the Harry Potter films, will be two of the attractions at a free family fun day from 12pm until 4pm on Sunday, 20 July in Aberdeen's Duthie Park.

Aberdeen City Council's Duthie Park Ranger Service has organised the event, which aims to increase people's awareness of the environment; the different ways in which to enjoy it; protect it; how it benefits the community and to promote the park.

Meet Hedwig and Eral, from the Owl and Pussycat Co, and have your photograph taken with the famous owls.

The following organisations will be at the event to raise awareness of the work they do:
• Aberdeen City Council tree squad;
• Royal Horticulture Society of Aberdeen (RHSA);
• Butterfly Conservation Society;
• Groovy Grow-its;
• Aberdeen & District Beekeepers Association;
• Satrosphere.

There will also be an allotment market stall and representatives from Aberdeen Play Forum will also be at the event.
