How can we help you...

Green fingers wanted for clean up Europe event

Help enhance Aberdeen's coastal path from Torry Battery to Nigg Bay as part of Let's Clean Up Europe Day! on Saturday 10 May.

Join Europe Direct Aberdeen, from 10am until 1pm, and demonstrate your green credentials by doing your bit for your local environment.

The event will get under way with a talk from the RSPB's Dolphin Watch team on litter and how it affects marine wildlife. If the weather is fine there may even be opportunities to spot a dolphin or two.

All are welcome to take part and anyone aged 12 – 25 years old could receive Saltire Award Challenge and Young Scot points as an extra bonus.

Places are still available. To register please contact

Let's Clean up Europe Day! aims to encourage citizens across the continent to help clean up their local environment, raise awareness of the impact of litter and by doing so persuade people to change their behaviour.

This European-wide initiative is being supported in Aberdeen by the Countryside Ranger Service, Waste Aware, RSPB and the Clean Up Aberdeen campaign.
