Boosters launched to grow city businesses
A programme of Business Boosters seminars has been set up by Aberdeen City Council to help city firms realise their full potential.
Business Boosters has been introduced to the business growth programme, following the success of the Positive Procurement Programme (PPP) evening seminars and networking events.
The Business Booster seminars cover a diverse range of topics, including: the effective use of PR; branding; business finance; staff development; and effective recruitment.
Each fully-funded seminar and networking event will delivered by local experts and will take place in Marischal College on week nights.
The first event, The Importance of Branding, takes place on Tuesday, 15 October from 6.30pm until 8pm. It will be followed by Financing of International Trade on 22 October, an Introduction to the Federation of Small Businesses on 19 November, and The Importance of Effective PR on 5 December.
Employability, skills and community enterprise officer Ross MacDonald said: "Business Boosters will be of interest to a diverse range of businesses, charities and social enterprises. These fully funded seminars cover a broad range of topics; these include the effective use of PR, branding, business finance, staff development and effective recruitment and many other topics that are a key part of business life.
"These are informal sessions and are a chance to network as well as pick up new information and ideas."
