Active and Green in Aberdeen
Using the natural world to engage with, care for and support older adults, is the focus of a series of workshops to be held in Aberdeen later this month.
Aberdeen City Council and Robert Gordon University are delighted to welcome Dr Garuth Chalfont, author of the Dementia Green Care Handbook, who will run the Active and Green in Aberdeen: Using Nature to Engage Older People workshops.
The workshops, which are open to professionals and other interested parties, take place at the School of Health Sciences at RGU from 9.30am until noon and from 2pm until 4.30pm on 26 June.
Ten £300 Great Outdoors Fund grants for therapeutic improvements to green spaces in Aberdeen will be made available after the workshops. Application forms will be available on the day.
