Family fun-packed day on offer at Aberdeenís Highland Games
Thousands are expected to visit Aberdeen's Highland Games at Hazlehead Park this Sunday [15 June].
The city's annual Games are always popular with local residents and visitors to the city with a great mix of traditional events and not-so-traditional activities for all the family to enjoy on what is also Father's Day.
Traditional events include heavy events, piping, pipe band competition, track and field, Highland dancing and Scottish tug-o-war championship 725kg.
Many of the events and activities are included in the entrance fee, making Aberdeen's Highland Games great value for money.
Family entertainment includes laser tag, climbing wall, zip slide, world famous flea circus, Medieval Realm, Scottish entertainment marquee, Portsoy Boat Festival stall, walkabout balloon modellers and the ever popular Segways.
There will also be a funfair, charity and trade stalls, food and drink available to purchase including a beer tent (over 18s only).
The Lord Provost of Aberdeen George Adam said: "I always look forward to Aberdeen's Highland Games as there is a huge selection of things to see and do and there is always a great crowd, of all ages, making the day a fabulous occasion."
