Cycling Activity Village

Join us in Union Terrace Gardens on race day, from 12:3018:30, to celebrate the Tour Series and all things cycling with a free fun-filled event.

There are a variety of displays and activities for all ages to enjoy; Alpine Bikes and the Edinburgh Bike Coop will be assisting racers with last minute repairs before their big race or bring down the family bike collection for a free health check. The Clan

The Clan cycle stunt team will showcase a variety of technical skills by some of Scotland's top cyclists as part of their "Trials Battle" show at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm, they will also be dropping into St Nicholas Street for a ground display at 12 noon.

 The Grampian Transport Museum will be celebrating 200 years of cycling with a display of bikes dating back as far as 1817 and 1839. They will provide cyclists a chance to put their grit to the test and challenge some of the country's top cyclists on the Tacx Smart Turbo Trainer.

For toddlers to young teens there will be something for everyone from come and try activities from Balance Bikers, Transition Extreme and the Adventure Aberdeen's Get About roadshow to fun and games with the Aberdeen Sports Village and lots of cycling related stallholders.

In addition to the city being brought to life with a range of activities, Scottish Cycling will host a number of amateur races between 1.00pm and 6.00pm. The men's Tour Series gets underway at 7.30pm and the presentation to the winners will be at approximately 9.00pm. There will be live commentary throughout the races to keep spectators up to speed with all the action.
