Qualifications
Do you want to lead your own activities, develop your own personal skills or work in the Outdoors?
We provide a range of training and accreditation courses for members of the public, teachers and community staff.
- 12 month Traineeship placements at Adventure Aberdeen*
- Scottish canoe association (SCA) level 1 coach training and assessment
- SCA Foundation safety and rescue training
- SCA www.canoescotland.org Star awards
- Velotech cycle mechanics
- Trail cycle leader training and assessment

If you are between 18 and 25 and genuinely interested in working in the outdoor and outdoor education we have 2 places on a full time12 month programme that are designed to:
- Build real quality experience in leading groups in the outdoors.
- Gain essential and varied experience in working at an outdoor centre.
- Learn new outdoor activities and skills.
- Get training and qualifications in outdoor activities and leadership.
- Be a part of a friendly and dynamic workforce.
The selection process is rigorous! Please only contact us if you agree that:

- You are highly motivated.
- You have some experience in outdoor activities.
- Work will include maintenance and office work.
- Qualifications and training outcomes are dependant on trainee’s level of prior experience and personal drive.
- It is a volunteer position.
- The placement is designed to spring board you into continued personal development and training in the outdoors…It take at lot longer than 1 year to become an outdoor activities professional!
