Hill Walking

Make the most of the great outdoors! Whether walking peacefully through the beauty spots of Royal Deeside, or scrambling along exposed rocky ridges in the Cairngorm mountains, the variety of experiences available is huge.

Walking at low levels, on coastal paths or over hills and mountains is a magnificent way to explore Scotland's superb wilderness spaces and experience the diversity of Scotland's wildlife and landscape. A days expedition, planned and undertaken by a group is an excellent way of developing leadership, planning and organisational skills as well as giving participants a healthy dose of fresh air and exercise.

Aberdeen is surrounded by superb countryside, and many excellent walks exist within the city itself. To the west of Aberdeen, there are various hills on the sides of Deeside and Donside including landmarks such as Clachnaben and Morven or Scotland's most easterly Munro, Mount Keen.
