Corporate Membership
Q. Who do I contact if I am interested in obtaining a corporate membership for my company?
A. Contact our membership advisor on 01224 814771.
ACE Club Membership
Q. Is there a joining fee and minimum membership period?
A. No, there is no joining fee but there is a minimum of 4 months membership period.
Q. Once I have paid my membership fee, do I have to pay extra on top of that?
A. No, you can use all the activities stated within the membership as often as you like for no extra fee.
Q. Is badminton included in the membership? it says on the leaflet Sports Hall
A. No, Badminton or any other sports hall activity is not included in your membership. The Sports hall is only mentioned only to show the Centre has a sports hall. You can however book sports hall activities 6 days in advance instead of just 3 days (None Ace card holders)
Q. What are the off-peak times?
A. 0830 - 1630 Monday to Friday (You have to come in to the facility at 1530 at the latest and then expected to leave at 1630) All day Saturday and Sunday are also applicable to ACE pass holders only.
Q. But when I went to the site, I was told that Peak times included lunch times?
A. Yes, that is the case for pay and play visits. There is a difference between the peak and off peak times for visiting and memberships.
Q. Is equipment hire included with the membership?
A. Yes you can get the use of equipment hire for rackets and balls etc.
Q. Can I book 6 days in advance?
A. Yes
Q. Can I upgrade or down grade my membership between peak and off peak or if my circumstances changes?
A. Yes you can. It is preferable to put this in writing to the Membership advisor at the AECC.
Q. How do I cancel my Membership?
A. You must put your cancellation in writing and together with your membership card send to the Membership Advisor.Your payment date will effect your cancellation date. You will be sent a letter of confirmation. You only do this after a minimum of 4 months. However if you want to cancel before the first 4 months, you can only do so if you can prove by Doctors letter that you cannot exercise and if you are relocating which we need 2 pieces of evidence.
Golf Membership
Q. If I purchase my membership in November will it expire in March the following year or will it run for a full calendar year?
A. Your pass will expire in November the following year. It will run for a full calendar year.
Q. Do I have to purchase golf Insurance with Aberdeen City Council?
A. If you not hold your own Golf Insurance, then Yes you will have to purchase through us. As Without it you cannot play on our courses.
Q. How come if I pay and play, no one ever mentions paying extra for golf Insurance?
A. That is because the price for pay and play includes extra to cover golf Insurance.
Q. So what exactly does golf Insurance cover me for?
A. It covers you if you sustain serious injury, or accidently cause injury to another person or damage property whilst playing golf.
Q. Does this Insurance cover me whilst playing abroad?
A. Yes if you have purchased an annual pass , then the cover is extended to playing golf anywhere within the UK and EUROPE for the annual period.
Q. Is there such a thing as a visitors Pass?
A. Yes you can purchase a 5 - day golf pass. They are around £50. They can be bought from any golf course. You do not need a photo just payment.
Q. What age is classified as a Junior?
A. You are classified a Junior if you are under 18 as at 1st January that year.
Q. Can I get a handicap and enter club competitions with my season pass?
A. No, the clubs are run independently from the council, you need to join a club at the course. It is not more than £100. You will have to phone the club in order to enquire about joining. Please note that it is cheaper to get a membership with us rather than paying and playing.
Q. Can I book tee times any longer in advance with my season pass?
A. Yes you can book up to 6 days in advance with your season pass. For non holders you will only be able to book on the day by phone or in person.
Q. My son is 9 years old, can he play at the courses unaccompanied?
A. No, children must be over the age of 10 to play unaccompanied by an adult.
Q. What days are the Club Medals on?
A. All medals are on a Wednesday and Saturday for all courses.
