Aberdeen's premier golf course - a real jewel in the crown
Hazlehead offers three picturesque courses and a pitch and putt course. Our Premier No.1 Course is arguably one of the best in the North East, if not in Scotland and was designed by Alistair McKenzie, the golf architect better known for designing Augusta National in America. The Course provides a true test of golf skills with gorse and woodland being a hazard for any wayward shots. Several well-known competitions are held here on a regular basis.
The No.2 Course, originally a nine-hole course, it gained an extension in the early 1970's which was also designed by Hugget, Coles and Dyer. It has a more open aspect than No.1 and its beautiful setting is perhaps more suitable for higher handicap players.
The Nine Hole Course has wide fairways and a marked absence of rough, making it the perfect starting point for the enthusiastic beginner. The best known hole on this course is the Sahara, the only desert with grass which is a massive 503 yards, par 5. This course is ideal for golfers with less time on their hands. A 9 hole Pitch and Putt compliments the three courses.

Where are we?
Reserve a Tee Off Time
Bookings for all Golf Courses can be made in person or on the telephone at any Golf Course on the day of play. Non-members who book on the day must turn up 15 minutes prior to playing otherwise your booking may be resold. If you are a golf season pass member or hold a priority booking pass, bookings may be made up to six days in advance. Your attention is drawn to condition 7 in the conditions of use for golf season pass holders. Season pass and priority pass holders may book up to six days in advance in person during opening times of the starters box or by telephone one hour after the opening time of the starters box up until 4pm.

Green Fees
Aberdeen City Golf offers golfers the option to purchase annual season passes, which cover the City's five 18 hole, one 9 hole and one 6 hole courses, two 9 hole pitch and putt courses and all putting greens and practice areas. The Courses the pass can be used at are as follows:
- Hazlehead No1, No2, 9 Hole and Pitch n' putt Golf courses
- Kings Links Golf Course
- Auchmill Golf course
- Balnagask 18 hole and 9 hole pitch n' putt Golf courses
- 6 Hole golf course
For adults, there are full or weekday memberships and for the Juniors there is the option of purchasing tickets for use only during the holidays or only at selected courses. Also if you are a holder of the concessionary Access to Leisure card further discounts are applicable. Your choice of pass should be indicated on the application form. You can also book tee-times up to six days in advance. Normal pay and play customers can only book on the day of play unless they hold a priority bookings pass.

- Sheddocksley Sports Centre: Monday - Friday 1700 - 2100, Saturday and Sunday 0900 – 1600
Golf Membership
Golf Season passes are available which give you unlimited access to play at all of our golf courses, pitch and putt courses, putting greens and practice areas. Payments can be made in full or in installments spread over 12 months by Direct Debit. For full details and an application form please see the Golf Membership page.
Golf Course Opening Hours
Hours will vary between summer and winter with hours of daylight. Please telephone any golf course to find out their current opening hours. Typical hours of daily opening are:
- Summer - 0500 - 2030 hours
- Winter - 0800 - 1530 hours
Twilight Golf
Twilight golf is available all year round. This allows play at a reduced rate of 50% two hours before dusk at all 18 hole golf courses.(Please note that twilight is not bookable in advance)
How to Hire Equipment
Golf Clubs are available to hire at Hazlehead Golf Club Professional Shop (01224 317336). Note some form of Identification may be required to be left with the shop.
