Q. Do I need to fill out an application form for a Special event?
A. Yes application forms must be filled out for all Special Events, no verbal bookings can be made.Application forms can be obtained from all our Sports Facilities and also the Bookings team.
Q. Once My application form is in, does this guarantee my Booking?
A. No our Bookings team will then check availibilty with the chosen facility and give you options if your first choice is not available, require a price for your event and any other relevant Information. You will then be given a phone call to confirm booking which will then be followed up by written confirmation.
Q. You say that 3 weeks notice is required for Special events, what if my booking is for in between 6 days and 3 weeks? will my booking be accepted?
A.Short notice Special events can be accepted, 3 weeks notice is generally required to complete the full procedure. moreover there is less chance of availability with a shorter time scale.
Q. I have a martial arts club and I would like to make a booking to use a room at one of the Sports Centres, can I do that?
A. Yes Martial arts clubs can make bookings based on availability. You require to show evidence of your coaching qualification and Insurance which will be required along with your application form.
Q. I would like to book a Birthday party for my child and she really likes Trampolining, is that possible?
A. Yes you can make a booking like that. However with Trampolining you must have a qualified coach present which we can supply. The coaches fee's are added onto the cost of your booking.
Q. My company is looking to book some Tee-off times at Hazlehead golf course, How do I do that?
A. The Courtesy of the Tee times can be done my contacting the bookings team. They will arrange for an application form to be sent out to you. Confirmation will then be sent back. This can be done by fax.
Q. On the Special event application form, I've ticked the box to say I will be charging the people in my group. Will I be charged extra?
A. You may be charged double the original cost of your hire under the Commercial letting policy of Aberdeen City Council.
