Q. On my Income Support Letter it states I receive Income Support. Our Child Tax Credit Letter has my wife's name on it and states 2 children. Do we all get cards?

A. Yes you will all get cards. As Income Support is under the scheme you will receive a card. The Income Support Letter states you have a wife and 2 children.(As the likes of Income Support, Working Tax Credit etc are all means means tested benefits, therefore if the wife was earning huge sums of money, the husband would not get Income Support in his name)

Q. I am in receipt of Child Tax Credit, would I be entitled to an A2L card?

A. Yes, every family member requires a passport sized photo.

Q. My benefit money goes straight into my bank account; will you not accept my bank statement as proof of benefit?

A. No, as the bank statement does not detail enough Information. We ONLY accept a letter of proof of entitlement. We also DO NOT accept post office statements, benefit books or NHS exemption cards.

Q. I used to be on Income Support but now I have turned 60 I receive Pension Credit. I am entitled to a card for being over 60, but can I get a card for my wife still?

A. No unfortunately the entitlement of being over 60 is for the individual membership only. However, Pension Credit is being looked at being put onto the scheme.

Q. My son has a disability and receives DLA. He has got an A2L card but needs assistance when visiting the Centres. Are there any discounts available for the helper?

A.Yes, we have an Additional Assistance card. This entitles the standard cardholder to apply for one of these cards, so they have one person with them paying nothing when visiting the sites. As long as without this person, the individual could not participate in the activity.
