There is a wide variety of activities to do at The Beach Leisure Centre. Below is a guide to those activities, so have a read and decide on what you want to do first then get down to Aberdeen's biggest sports facility and start taking advantage of the services available to you!!
Leisure Pool
The freeform leisure pool has fantastic water features including rapids and a wave machine so you won't fail but have a whale of a time. Also the Swimming Pool has a full programme of activities including: Public swimming Sessions, Parent & Toddler Sessions, under 16's session and more..Also the timetable will change in the School holidays to accommodate more swimming time during the day. This freeform pool means that it is not a rectangular shape like most standard Swimming Pools but is a curvy round shape which has a deep end but gently rises up to the shallow end like a sea onto the beach. Also you can enjoy the poolside Jacuazzi and sit back and relax!
The wave machine is artificial waves created for the swimming pool and again simulates waves rolling onto a beach from the sea and definitely not to be missed.
The rapids are fast and furious and the pool water is channeled down canyon in the pool like a fast flowing river which creates a strong current in the pool.
The Flumes - there are 4 flume rides at The Beach Leisure Centre. There is a mini flume which is located within the pool hall area and is free to all pool users. Moreover there is another 3 flume rides for the more adventurous which are located at the rear of the pool hall in the flume building.
The 3 Flumes are called The Pipeline, The Tube and The Wipeout. You will have loads of fun on our flumes!
