About the Races
Wheelchair Race: (Starts 5 minutes before Main Race)
On the Completion of the entry form you will be informed of your individual start place and time. No motorised wheelchairs will be allowed entry in the race. All prizes listed below will be issued to wheelchair competitors only and not helpers. Wheelchair helpers/escorts need to apply with the wheelchair entrant but do not need to pay. Please ensure that the forms are sent together when applying.
Prizes will be offered for the following placed competitors:
- Woman's Wheelchair Race (first 3)
- Men's Wheelchair Race(first 3)
Ten Kilometre Race: 09:30am Start
This years race is open to all participants and is aimed at both serious runners and those taking part in the run for the first time. All participants 
must be aged 17 or over on the day of the race.
Race marshals will steward the course and large signs mark each Kilometre mark. Watering stations will be provided: one on the Beach Esplanade and one on Golf Road. Aberdeen City Council would like to thank all volunteers for their assistance in organising this event.
Prizes will be given to the winners in their age category only. Additional prize money and trophy to first male and female finisher. Every 10k finisher will receive a medal. Presentation of prizes will be at 10:30am.

Men's Team Prize (single sex teams) affiliated to Scottish Athletics, the first one team to cross the line qualify to win the prize, runners must have registered as club member on entry form.
Woman's Team Prize (single sex teams) affiliated to Scottish Athletics, the first one team to cross the line qualify to win the prize, runners must have registered as club member on entry form.
The Corporate Team Prize is for team of work colleagues (mixed or single sex teams) running for charity
Race Chips
What is the ChampionChip? A ChampionChip is a miniature transponder in a specially designed plastic housing. The device contains a chip in combination with an energizing coil. The ChampionChip is worn by attaching it to your ankle. All Race Chips are to be returned after the race or returned to the administration office prior to race day if unable to compete using the self addressed envelope.
Banks O' Dee Family Fun Run
- An opportunity for all the family to be involved in the fun.
- No matter how young or old, fast or slow, the fun run, walk or jog could be the event for you. Entries on the day from 08:00am - 09:20am.
- The fun run will start on the Beach Boulevard, turning onto Links Road and will finish at the 10k finish area (distance approx 750 metres).
- Please assemble at the Fun Run start line at 09:25am
- Certificate and juice for all finishers
