Coach Education
Coach and Volunteer Education
To support the teachers, coaches and volunteers who work with Active Schools, the team have devised a programme of coach education which will not only offer training in delivering specific sports but also essential support skills such as first aid, risk assessment and child protection.
Each term Active Schools will be running a coach education week, with a variety of courses running throughout the week. The team will all also be happy to organise courses out with these weeks, but these will generally only run once there there are sufficient numbers. If there is a particular course that you would be interested in attending, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Where there is a fee involved in attending the course, Active Schools may offer to help volunteers to subsidise the cost, depending on the number of volunteering hours already undertaken & budgetary constraints.
To find out more about the courses that Active Schools run (or can reserve places on) please use the link on the right hand side of this page to access our coach education brochure and application form.
