December 2002 Outline Business Case submitted to Scottish Executive
March 2003 Scottish Executive offers indicative support for the project
May 2004 Revised Outline Business Case submitted to Scottish Executive
March 2005 Contract notice published in Official Journal of European Community

September 2005

Invitation to negotiate issued to three shortlisted approved bidders
April 2006 ITN (Invitation To Negotiate) responses received
October 2006

Council approves selection of Preferred Bidder

December 2006                    

NYOP announced as Preferred Bidder

October 2007 Begin construction on Cults Academy and Bucksburn Community Campus sites
December 2007 Financial close (signing the contract)
