Statutory Consultation was required on the following proposals. Links are provided to the relevant consultation documents.

to combine Airyhall School and Braeside School in a new school incorporating SEN and community facilities

A meeting was held on 8 November 2004 at 19:00 in Airyhall School

To replace Bankhead Academy with a new school including SEN and community facilities
To close Marlpool School and replace with extended SEN for the full range of Special Needs in a campus facility

A meeting was held on 11 November 2004 at 19:00 in Bankhead Academy

To combine Balgownie School and Upper Westfield School in a new school incorporating SEN and community facilities

A meeting was held on 16 November 2004 at 19:00 in Bridge of Don Academy

To replace Cults Academy with a new school incorporating SEN, community and swimming facilities on the Friarsfield site

A meeting was held on 18 November 2004 at 19:00 in Cults Academy

To replace Mile End School with a new school to incorporate SEN and community facility
To close Beechwood School and replace with extended SEN for the full range of Special Needs in a campus facility

A meeting was held on 18 November 2004 at 19:00 in Beechwood School

To combine Middlefield, Smithfield and Marchburn Schools and replace with 2 new Nursery - P7 schools incorporating SEN and community facilities
To create zones for the new schools

Meetings were held at 19:00 on 10 November and 17 November 2004 in Middlefield Church Hall and Marchburn School respectively.

To amalgamate Abbotswell School and Craighill School within a new building on the Abbotswell Site, allowing for future expansion

A meeting was held on 30 November 2004 in Kincorth Community Centre.
