Key Messages:

Outdoor education is a process that inspires and develops learning through adventurous activities. At the foundation of this process we have four key messages:

  • Responsibility
  • Respect
  • Teamwork
  • Challenge

They provide focus as to what is expected of group members when participating in an activity and support the transfer of positive learning experiences into other parts of individuals’ lives. They can be adopted or adapted depending on the type of groups and what their aims are.
