NORTH

| Deansloch Crescent | A change of 'At Any Time' waiting restrictions. The change of waiting restriction will apply to the both sjdes of Deansloch Crescent at the entrance and exit to the Service Bay Area to the shops on Byron Square. This is to ensure public safety outwith business operating hours and to allow residential parking from 6.00pm to 8.00am. | Monday to Friday 8.00am 6.00pm, commences on 01/02/08 for a period of 6 months. |
CENTRAL
Train Station access changes
- Miller Construction will be working on Guild Street on the Union Square Development throughout 2008. Their works will include changing the road layout in the vicinity of the old railway station entrance, road island changes, installation of new traffic signals and the realignment of the footway on Guild Street, and occasional works on the new bus station entrance on Market Street.
- Access to Aberdeen railway station from Wapping Street will be permanently closed off from Monday January 7 2008.
- Work by developers Hammerson to upgrade the station, as part of its Union Square retail and leisure scheme, will require the closure of the Wapping Street/Guild Street junction to traffic heading into the station forecourt.
- Traffic emerging from Wapping Street will still be able to turn left or right into Guild Street.
- Access to the train station will only be via Guild Street south side.
- Diversion signs are being erected at strategic points around the city centre to direct traffic to the station by alternative routes.

| Union Wynd | Closed from its junction with Union Row to its junction with Summer Street and is for public safety during sewer replacement works. | The closure / restriction will take place from Monday 6th May 2008 for up to 6 weeks | The alternate route will be via Union Row, Union Street, Union Terrace, Rosemount Viaduct, Skene Street, Summer Street. |
| South Silver Street | Closed between Union Street and Golden Square. The restriction is enforced for public safety during repairs to a collapsed sewer. | From 6th May 2008 until further notice. | Alternative routes will be Huntly Street (West Bound) & Diamond Street (East Bound) |
| Traffic Light refurbishment at the junction of Union Street and Broad Street | Will require the closure of St Catherine's Wynd (from Netherkirkgate to Union street) and Netherkirkgate from Flourmill Lane to Broad Street. | The closure will take effect from Monday 5th May until the 1st June. | - |
| St. Andrews Street | One way from George Street to Charlotte Street. In conjunction with the above one-way system it will be necessary to effect, as required, a closure of the existing 'buses only' lane on Charlotte Street from St. Andrews Street to John Street.

| Old Ford Road, Palmerston Place, Palmerston Road, | Subject to the following restrictions in connection with construction and road realignment and reconstruction works. (Normally these roads are all one-way, forming a 'clockwise triangle'.) Old Ford Road and Palmerston Place will be closed to traffic, from their junctions with Palmerston Road, at the discretion of the site manager, subject to consultation and the agreement of the Council as to timing. As works permit lengths of the above roads to be reopened to allow for access to properties and parking spaces, the reopened lengths shall be made two-way. Palmerston Road, from its junction with Old Ford Road to its junction with Palmerston Place, shall be made two-way during the above closures on Old Ford Road / Palmerston Place. Parking and waiting on Old Ford Road and Palmerston Place, and on Palmerston Road between its junctions with Palmerston Place and Old Ford Road, shall be at the discretion of the site manager, subject to the agreement of the Council. The same areas shall also be subject to a 10mph speed limit . Finally, there shall be no access to Palmerston Place from South College Street for any vehicles wider than 7 feet for the duration of the above restrictions.

| Mearns Street | Will be made one-way. Access to Mearns Street will be possible only from Commerce Street during this time. Parking in Mearns Street will be prohibited, at the discretion of the adjacent site’s manager. This is to facilitate access for site plant to the adjacent development. | Netherkirkgate / St Catherine’s Wynd | Closed from Netherkirkgate’s junction with Flourmill Lane to St Catherine’s Wynd’s junction with Union Street and is for public safety during building demolition / refurbishment works.
| The restriction will take place from the 11th of February 2008 for up to eight weeks. | The alternative route shall be via Upperkirkgate, Broad Street. |
| Clarence Street | Closed from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Wellington Street and is for public safety during adjacent building works. Access to properties in Clarence Street will be provided, at the discretion of the works manager, but through traffic will not be possible. | The restriction will take place from the 21st of January 2008 for up to 6 months. | The alternative route shall be via Church Street, Waterloo Quay, Wellington Street, or vice versa. |
| Belmont Street | Belmont Street from Little Belmont Street to Schoolhill will be closed during the operation of a Country Fair & Street Market between the hours of 0600 – 1900 on the following dates:
To facilitate the above closure effectively and for safety reasons it will be necessary to include the closure of Little Belmont Street and Gaelic Lane from Back Wynd to Belmont Street.

| James Street | James Street, Aberdeen will be CLOSED from its junction with Regent Quay to its junction with Virginia Street and is for public safety during adjacent demolition and construction works. | Pittodrie Stadium | A raft of temporary traffic orders that will be implemented on the 7th February for a period of 18 months. This is an extension to a previous temporary for the same period. The nature of the order is to enable the police to control traffic movement / parking in and around Pittodrie Stadium on match days. | - | - |

| Quarry Road, Cults | There will be 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday waiting restrictions. On the West side of Quarry Road from : (1) the North gable of No 1 Cairnlee Avenue East to the boundary between Nos 45 & 47 Quarry Road (2) the boundary between Nos 41 & 43 Quarry Road to the boundary between No 39 Quarry Road and No 2 Cairnlee Crescent South (3) from South front footpath kerbline on Craig Gardens to the boundary between Nos 31 & 33 Quarry Road. On the East side Of Quarry Road from: (1) in line with the North gable Of No 1 Cairnlee Avenue East to the North Boundary of No 36 Hillview Terrace. This is to ensure public safety during movement of contractors vehicles during works to the new Cults Academy. | 08/04/08 for a period of 6 months. | - |

| The U64k South Loirston Road | Closed from the junction with Wellington Road, for a distance of 80 metres or thereby south-east of this junction. The nature of the closure is to allow for public safety during carriageway construction works (Wellington Road Phase 5). Access to properties will be maintained (although not from Wellington Road), but through traffic will not be possible.

| Braeside Place | Craigton Road to Braeside Terrace will be one-way travelling in a southerly direction. In addition to this included is an At Any Time waiting restriction for the entirety of the footways on both sides of Braeside Place and Braeside Terrace.

| Wellington Road (old road) | Closed from its the south junction with the A956 Wellington Road, for a distance of 100 metres or thereby north-east of this junction. It should be stressed that the 'Wellington Road' to which this closures applies is not the A956 Wellington Road, but the old road with two junctions to the A956 Wellington Road, which gives access to Loch Croft / Loch of Loirston and is also known as 'Wellington Road'. For public safety during the road being used as a plant and materials store during adjacent road construction works expanding the capacity of the A956 Wellington Road. | The closure will apply from the 30th of April 2007 for up to 6 months. | - |

Building and other works affecting roads
NORTH
- Temporary parking restrictions 'AT ANY TIME' will be applied to Newton Terrace on the west side from a point 43 metres or thereby south of the extended south kerbline of Auchmill Road southwards for a distance of 17 metres or thereby. This should take effect from Monday 16 July for a period of 6 months. This is to deter vehicles from regularly being obstructed while attempting to gain access to the named road.
CENTRAL
- Barratts are working on behalf of Bon Accord Homes at the flatted development on Affleck Street.
- Miller Construction will be working on Guild Street on the Union Square Development throughout 2008. Their works will include changing the road layout in the vicinity of the old railway station entrance, road island changes, installation of new traffic signals and the realignment of the footway on Guild Street, and occasional works on the new bus station entrance on Market Street.
- Market Street will have an AT ANY TIME BAN on parking, on its West side, for 100m south of its junction with Haddon Street, for 50 m north of this junction. Loading / unloading will not will not be permitted within this area. This is to ensure public safety during works to refurbish adjacent buildings. Loading and unloading will be permitted within the taxi rank on the south side of Haddon Street. The restriction is from 28/01/2008 for 6 months.
SOUTH
- None at present.
Road and Footway Maintenance
NORTH
- Footway resurfacing works will start at Intown Road on Tuesday 6 May 2008. The work is being carried out by ACC Road Services. Target Completion Date is 23 May 2008.
- Footway resurfacing works will start at Long Walk Road on Monday 28 April 2008. The work is being carried out by MTM Construction Ltd. Target Completion Date is 16 May 2008.

- Footway resurfacing works started at Kingshill Road/Terrace on Monday 17 March 2008. The work is being carried out by Leiths(Scotland)Ltd. Target Completion Date is 9 May 2008.(35% complete)
- Footway resurfacing works will start at Louisville Avenue on Tuesday 6 May 2008. The work is being carried out by ACC Road Services. Target Completion Date is 23 May 2008.
