Householder applications
Details
We have a specialist team in the Development Management section which deals with applications to alter or extend houses or flats. The team is responsible for carrying out pre-application discussions and processing applications for planning permission. In the event of listed building consent or conservation area consent being required then the team will also deal with these applications. Processing an application involves checking that the application contains all the necessary information, visiting the site, carrying out statutory consultations, advising and negotiating with the applicant or agent if necessary, and finally making recommendations to the appropriate committee. In many cases if no objections have been received to an application then if the proposal is acceptable approval can be granted without reference to a Committee.
