The preparation of the Finalised Aberdeen Local Plan (2004)
The Finalised Aberdeen Local Plan is the result of a process including several stages of public consultation. ACC published the Finalised Aberdeen Local Plan Green Spaces New Places in August 2004 and a lengthy consultation period followed. Report of Public Local Inquiry (2006)
Not all of the issues raised by objections were satisfactorily resolved by ACCs Proposed Changes. Those who objected to the Plan and/or the Proposed Changes then had the opportunity to present their objection either in writing or in person to the Scottish Executive Reporters at a Public Inquiry. The Inquiry commenced in February 2006 and concluded in December 2006.

ACC's Evaluation of the Report of the Public Local Inquiry (2007)
The report of the Public Local Inquiry is a very important stage in the preparation of the Local Plan but it does not, in itself, make any decisions. At the Policy and Strategy Committee meeting on 11 December 2007 ACC agreed its response to the Reporters report and the resulting Proposed Modifications. These were published on 18 January 2008 for a 6-week objection period running from 18 January 2008 to 29 February 2008. You can read ACC's Evaluation of the Report of the Public Local Inquiry and recommendations by selecting the link below:
Proposed Modifications (2007)
ACC agreed the Proposed Modifications at the Policy and Strategy Committee meeting on 11 December 2007.
You can read the Proposed Modifications to the Written Statement and Proposals Maps of the Finalised Local Plan by selecting the links below. The .pdf file sizes are large and may take some time to download.
