Recommendation made by the Fostering or Adoption panel

If applicants are unhappy with the recommendation of the Fostering and Adoption Panel, which is then endorsed by the Agency Decision Maker, they have 28 days in which to lodge an appeal. This should be in writing and sent to the Corporate Director of Strategic Leadership. The Director will pass the appeal to the Professional Officer who will handle the appeal within the agreed procedure, fuller details of which will be provided to you at point of applying. Applicants will be invited to attend the Appeal Panel, along with any supporter or advocate they may wish to bring with them, and will be informed of the outcome of the appeal in writing.
