The Council's Environmental Health service is responsible for ensuring that food sold in Aberdeen City is safe, clean and fit to eat. All premises that prepare, produce, cook or sell food must comply with strict hygiene standards. All food businesses are required to register with the Council by law.One of the key aims of the Service is to improve food safety through education, prevention, and inspection of premises.
Advice is freely available on any aspect of Food Safety, Food Standards and food related Infectious disease related matters, for example:

You can either call into the office or contact us on the phone to ask some questions. If preferred, you are welcome to make an appointment to visit the office and discuss your question with an officer.
We are open at the following times: 09.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday.
