Information for Submitting a Public Event
An organisation or a member of the public may also submit an event for publication on the 'What's On In Aberdeen' section of the website. The event must be held within Aberdeen City and be of public interest. Details should be sent by email a reasonable time before the event.
The event should have the following details. Please note that the mandatory items must be supplied, otherwise it will not be published on the site.
- Event Title: (Mandatory) A maximum character length of 250
- Event Summary: (Mandatory) A maximum character length of 250
- Open Days: Which days the event runs eg. Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Start Date: (Mandatory) Date the event starts
- End Date: (Mandatory) Date the event ends
- Start Time and End Time: Give details of when the event starts and ends
- Ticket details: State whether it is a free event or not
- Event Venue: (Mandatory) State where the event is being held
- Event Description: (Mandatory) Full description of the event, with a maximum of 5000 characters
- Event Keywords: Provide a maximum of 5 keywords to help with the search engine.
- Event URL: If the event has it's own web page, please supply the address.
- Images: If you have an image related to the event, email it to us in JPEG format, or if it is on a website - send us the link to the picture. Send to webmonitor@aberdeencity.gov.uk
- Image Description: Give the image a meaningful description.
- Image Width: 180 pixels, up to 280 pixels
- Image Height: 180 pixels, up to 330 pixels

- Organiserss Details: If you are submitting an event, please provide the event organisers details - Name, full address including Post Code, contact telephone number, email address. Please state whether or not you would like your details to appear on the event page.
