Aberdeen Tartan Day
Visit Aberdeen on the first Saturday in August and join in Aberdeen's Tartan Day – a celebration of the rich colourful culture and heritage that exists in the region.
From the sound of massed pipe bands, re-enactments, traditional music, family history, walking trails to a traditional Scottish market showcasing the best in local food, arts and crafts, Aberdeen Tartan Day has something for everyone.
A new feature for 2007 was Tartan at the Terrace, a free concert showcasing Scottish talent in the City's Union Terrace Gardens, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
