Function
To work with the people of Aberdeen and other service providers to ensure the long-term wellbeing of the City, its people and its environment; to deliver services which meet the needs of citizens; to ensure equality of access to entitlements to all its citizens, regardless of age, gender, social, ethnic or religious background, disability or sexual orientation; to act as an advocate for the City; to support the Lord Provost as civic head in the performance of his or her duties; to uphold the heritage and traditions of the City; and to be the final internal point of appeal on matters for which it has responsibility.
