Deirdre Robertson - Corporate Director for Continuous Improvement
Born in Aberdeen, Deirdre Robertson grew up in Dundee where she studied law and trained as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young.
Deirdre returned to Aberdeen with Ernst & Young for a couple of years in the early 90s, before moving to Edinburgh to work in a variety of change management roles in the private and public sectors. This included working with Mckinseys on The Royal Bank of Scotland's successful Project Columbus.
Deirdre worked with Scottish Homes on the first Local Authority stock transfer and, prior to joining Aberdeen City Council, she spent 5 years as Director of Finance and Commercialisation Services at Napier University.
Deirdre has an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a member of both the Institute of Directors and Institute of Quality Assurance. Deirdre is also a Board Member of Dundee Contemporary Arts, business advisor to the East of Scotland Salvation Army and has been newly appointed to the Aberdeen board of the Princes Trust.
Deirdre joined Aberdeen City Council as Corporate Director of Continuous Improvement in February. Her teams include Service Design and Development, Corporate Communications, Performance Management and Quality Assurance and Customer Relationship Management.
