Aberdeen Ecocity
Aberdeen EcoCity acts as a platform for environmental projects and initiatives in taking place throughout the city.
It's aims are to encourage Aberdeen City residents, businesses and visitors to understand current environmental issues with more depth and clarity through awareness raising activities, and a range of strategies and policies that ensure that Aberdeen moves to the future as a sustainable city.
The EcoCity Project Officer remit includes:
- Spring Clean Aberdeen
- Organising a series of 'Aberdeen EcoCity' environmental awareness raising events
- Schools Sustainable Housing Design Competition
- Aberdeen EcoCity Awards
- Environmental policy and strategy development in conjunction with internal and external partners
