Opened in 1885, Aberdeen Art Gallery is one of the City’s most popular tourist attractions.

It houses an important fine art collection with particularly good examples of 19th, 20th and 21st century works, a rich and diverse applied art collection and an exciting programme of special exhibitions and events.

The Gallery Shop stocks a wide range of greetings cards, books, catalogues, crafts, jewellery and gifts. Contact the Gallery Shop on 01224 523695.

We also offer an opinion service on works of art, archaeological finds, coins and artefacts. Please bring your item to the Gallery Shop for a curator to examine and it will be returned to you with a written opinion. We are not able to provide valuations.

The McBey Reference Library, housing specialist art books, is open Monday to Fridays, 10am till 12 noon and 1pm till 4pm.
